The YWCA Princeton will celebrate its 27th annual Tribute to Women Awards ceremony on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Princeton.  Tribute to Women is the premier event of its kind in central New Jersey.  It recognizes outstanding women who have made significant contributions in their profession and communities in the greater Princeton region.  Honorees must demonstrate a high level of leadership and exceptional talent, while supporting the YWCA's mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Twelve women will be honored including our own Mercer Chapter NJAWBO member Kathleen Maguire Morolda of Cranbury Station Galleries. Way to go, Kathie!Congratulations on this tremendous honor.

Mary Lou Spang  recently partnered with Kathy Rana of Madeline's Table to provide refreshments for her recent Spangles LLC jewelry open house.

Linda Principe of Linda Principe Interiors LLC in Plainsboro, NJ has been elected to the National Board of Directors of the Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA). The appointment became effective July 1, 2009 and the term of office is three years.The WCAA is the only national non-profit trade association dedicated to the retail window coverings industry and to the dealers and businesses that are members.

Linda Principe started her company in 1988. She provides residential interior design services with a specialty in window treatments in the central New Jersey area. Linda is also an instructor for the “Window Treatments” class in the Interior Design Certificate program at Mercer County Community College.

Linda is currently the President of the Central New Jersey Chapter of the WCAA, which is the largest in the country at 75 members. 

Linda is a member of the Mercer Chapter of NJAWBO and 2009 represented her 20-year anniversary as a member. She is a past President of the Middlesex Chapter, past state board member, and the 2005 Business Woman of the Year.

Karen Hodges Miller announces that her company, Open Door Publications, will publish its fifth book in May. “Nurturing Nellie’s Interactive Journal for Women” by Jean S. Wittig is a lighthearted, yet inspirational book that offers women “5 Ways to Nurture Yourself in 5 Minutes or Less.” Cover and interior design for the book were done by NJAWBO member Sandra Jereb of Synectic Studio.
